Accreditation and verification

The Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering (MUIB) from the Polytechnic University of Madrid is registered in the Registry of Universities, Centers and Titles (RUCT).

The MUIB is an official title verified by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) in 2017. Latest version of the programme verification report.

Accreditation renewal

The Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering (MUIB) took part in the Accreditation Renewal process for the 2019–20 academic year, managed by the Fundación Madri+d, obtaining a favourable evaluation in 2021.

In the same year, a modification of the programme verification report was submitted and received a favourable assessment in 2022. This modification formally introduced external internships of 3, 6 and 9 ECTS credits (previously only 9-ECTS internships were included) and incorporated the Master’s Thesis in the first semester within the programme’s temporal structure.

Subsequently, during the Ordinary Monitoring process, the degree improved its evaluation in several criteria, as stated in the final Monitoring report issued on 19 September 2024.
