1. Pre-registration or application for admission

Pre-registration or application for admission is made through the telematic application of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

2. Admission Criteria

The Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering (MUIB) is aimed at graduates who have completed undergraduate or higher studies (graduate, engineer or graduate) and the entry profile corresponds to some areas of engineering (telecommunications, computer science, industrial, biomedical ) and the physical sciences. If students have a biomedical engineering degree, they will not need to complete training supplements. In the case of the other degrees, the Academic Committee of the Master will specify up to a maximum of 30 ECTS of training complements for each entry profile. The training complements will be subjects of the Degree in Biomedical Engineering and the Degree in Engineering of Telecommunications Technologies and Services of the UPM in the areas of physiology, mechanics, electronics or / and signals and systems. Given that this master’s degree has a very specialized approach, it is considered that students from degrees other than those specified do not meet the minimum requirements for admission.

In the case of different entry profiles, their admission to the Master will be decided by the Postgraduate Academic Committee, taking into account criteria of professional experience, complementary training and original qualifications.

Admission is a mandatory prior procedure and is established in the official regulations that regulate this type of study in Spain (Royal decrees RD1393 / 2007 and RD861 / 2010) and by the Student Selection and Admission procedure (PR 19) of the Center. The access and enrollment regulations are accessible on the UPM Student Regulations website.

Additionally, given that the number of places is limited, there is a procedure for the acceptance of students by the Academic Committee of the Master’s Program that is governed by the following aspects:
